Katie and Brian: Winter Wedding at the Strathallan

Katie and Brian (whose engagement session, you may remember, brought us to Philadelphia!), planned SUCH a beautiful December wedding! The day gave us all an excuse to visit some Rochester favorites- the Monroe building, Eastman Theatre, Javas (where Katie and Brian had their first date), and of course, The Strathallan.

The ninth floor at the Strath was the perfect place for Katie and Brian’s gorgeous candle-lit dinner and reception. Showcase Sound created quite the lively party! We love the unique dance floor traditions that come out at weddings, like the broom dance hosted by Katie’s uncle. Side note: It may have had a better name than “broom dance,” so if anyone remembers, let me know! Anyways, the gist of this dance was that people had to keep switching up their partners on the dance floor, with people occasionally ending up dancing with the broom! It was a unique and hilarious way to kick off the dancing and get the party started!

Katie and Brian, we’re so glad that we got to know you two, and wish you all the best together. Thank you so much for letting us join you for your day!
