Dani and Jerry: Summer Wedding at Gratitude and Grace
AHHH! The two most considerate people in the world got MARRIED and we are so excited to share a peek into their day!
From the moment we first started talking about their wedding, we knew we’d have so much fun celebrating with Dani and Jerry. They are both so driven and hard working- traits that were acknowledged time and again by friends on their wedding day- but also easy going, full of excitement, and so in love with each other. We were instantly enamored with their contagious happiness, and it was clear that all their guests feel the same way.
The wedding day started out hot and humid, with strong thunderstorms predicted throughout the afternoon. As we headed toward Ithaca, we ended up traveling right along with the inclement weather, stopping at one point in a little town where the rain was gushing down the side of the road at the height of the bottom of the car. It turned into an intense storm, and we weren’t sure how Dani and Jerry were going to be feeling about this crazy weather on their supposed-to-be-outdoor wedding day!
Of course, we should’ve known not to worry for a second. Jerry had teamed up with Amber, their awesome planner, to surprise Dani with a VW bus for the wedding day. She and the girls were able to pile in and head over to Gratitude and Grace to finish getting ready, while Amber and the florist made arrangements to shift the ceremony space indoors (not an easy task!). Everything came together so perfectly that you’d never even know it wasn’t Plan A!
After the happiest first look in history, everyone gathered in the barn for an emotional ceremony performed by Dani and Jerry’s close friend Noel. Guests went on to enjoy a delicious meal from Agava and danced the night away with the Silver Arrow Band, taking breaks to make S’mores with the marshmallow sticks Dani and her father made for everyone and to take pictures in the VW photobooth on site for the night!
Words can’t do this amazing day justice, but Dani and Jerry, we are so grateful to have you in our lives, we love you, and we wish you so much happiness for your future.
