Nicole and Gabe: Summer 2017 Folk Art Guild Wedding
Gabe and Nicole's wedding was something out of a storybook. Friends and family traveled from near and very, very far to help the couple celebrate their union at the Rochester Folk Art Guild in the hills of Middlesex. The morning was hot, that stuffy, unmoving heat that often signals a storm is on the way...And storm it did. If you were in the area that day, you probably remember the flash floods that occurred all over as the black skies opened up for hours- just in time for Gabe and Nicole's ceremony.
The floral extraordinaire Loblolly Farm crafted an incredible masterpiece backdrop for the suddenly indoor ceremony, and guests packed into a small room in a very fitting manner- Gabe and Nicole were literally surrounded by their loved ones as they made their vows. The rain subsided as the evening went on, and the sun peeped out from behind the clouds just in time to bathe the fields in golden sunset light. Low-lying clouds in the valley below were illuminated as we sprinted with Gabe and Nicole to get photos before the sun slipped back away.
The day was filled with personal touches, from the musicians to the food, the decor to the wedding favors. A cutting of cheese, rather than cake, honored Nicole's family's French heritage, and guests danced the night away for hours to come, with a close friend even calling several square dances.
Gabe and Nicole, thank you for including us in your amazing day! We wish you all the best together!
