Kate and Tom: Ventosa Vineyards Engagement
When we plan engagement sessions, we usually are pretty flexible with the date- we do what we can to make sure the weather conditions are at least somewhat enjoyable before we venture out! Sometimes, though, the options are limited, and it forces us to think outside the box…Which is how we ended up shooting Kate and Tom’s engagement session at Ventosa Vineyards on Seneca Lake!
Kate and Tom have planned most of their wedding remotely, so they planned a weekend to come up to the Finger Lakes for their dinner tasting, hair and makeup trial, and engagement session. We had all envisioned a beautiful spring session, but instead were given a cold, rainy, muddy day…Not so pretty! Luckily for us, Ventosa has a gorgeous covered balcony where we could get that great outdoor light while staying dry, and a warm, inviting, tasting room with huge windows. Kate’s engagement ring even matched the Tuscan-inspired building perfectly!
Getting to know our couples as much as possible before the wedding day is always a big priority for us, so we were thrilled to taste a few Ventosa wines with Kate and Tom after the photos were finished! These two are so kind and easy going, and we can’t wait to celebrate their wedding at the Inn on the Lake this July!
